My waist line was slowly growing larger year after year. I always put off getting that gym membership or buying that piece of fitness equipment. Then one day I after seeing a family friend die before his son (whom he thought the world of) graduate high school. I then knew I had to do something.

I went out to the local fitness stores and was surprised by the sheer volume of fitness equipment that was possible to buy. Not to mention the 50 different prices of equpiment that appeared to be the same, at least from my novice perspective.

Then I ran into the store associate who helped me make my decision. Like any good sales person he defined my problem, and presented solutions to my problem.

After hearing what I was looking to do and how much I was looking to spend we settled in on an elliptical trainer.

After taking the elliptical trainer home I began using it daily. The first thing I noticed was how easy it was on my knees, being rather large that was my primary conern, was I actually going to be able to use it long enough to get results.

The second thing I noticed was the quality of the machine, again being rather large I was worried that mid range elliptical I bought may not hold up with daily use.

Finally all my worries were put to rest after six months of continued use. My waist line has deminished considerably and with slight changes in my diet I feel so much better and have so much more self confidence.

Here I want to explain about exercise machines that usually used to build muscles. You will find many of these machines in your local gym.

Cable Lat Pulldown is a compound exercise that made to develop and stress your Lats. Like the other exercise, it works by contracting each pulldown.

Tips : Start with 12 repetitions for the first set. Rest for 30 seconds, than begin the second set with heavier weight and  10 repetitions. Rest for 30 seconds, finally begin the third set with the heaviest weight as you can, with 6 - 8 repetitions. This will develop your back muscle faster.

It’s a strength training, the person lower the weight until it get close to his chest, than pushes it back up until his arm get straight. This move will train and develop the chest muscle. Person may has a partner that hold the weight in case that weight fell off and hit his chest. Tips : if you are a beginner, always ask someone to hold the weight for you. Because its dangerous if it fell off to your chest.

Dumbbell has many functions to develop your muscle. As you know, dumbbell can be used to develop your biceps, triceps, chest, and back.

Tips : always start with a light weight. Try to do the exercise until you can do it with a proper move, and start gaining your dumbbell’s weight.

This machine will work for your chest muscle. Sit with your back flat on the pad. Position your upper arms approximately parallel to the ground. Push levers together slowly and squeeze your chest in the middle. Return until chest muscles are stretched fully. Repeat.

This machine is a very useful machine for beginner, because it is safe. It can train your chest, shoulder, lat, lower back, even your leg with a squat move. Contact your personal trainer to help you use this machine.
